Best Date Spots in Miami Beach

Dating in Miami is fun! It's even better in Miami Beach. The vibe and proximity to the ocean makes it a special place to take your date.

The Best Date Spots in Miami Beach.

Broken Shaker

  • Neighborhood: Miami Beach

  • Address: 2727 Indian Creek Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33140

  • $

  • What's unique? Their mixologists (pre-pandemic) would fly to various locations around the world to appear as guest bartenders. Yea, they're that good.

  • What's great? Arguably the best drinks in South Florida for an absolute bargain of a price.

  • What's not great? Nothing....

  • Tip: It's located inside Freehand Miami, a hostel. Look for it on the corner of 27th, walk inside and head straight through the double doors to access Broken Shaker.

Juvia

  • Neighborhood: Miami Beach

  • Address: 1111 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139

  • $$$

  • What's unique? A nice rooftop setting in Miami Beach.

  • What's great? They only let a certain amount of people in to reduce crowding.

  • What's not great? Prices, and sometimes the vibe can be too "Miami".

  • Tip: If you have dinner, absolutely make reservations. This place is busy every night.

Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company

  • Neighborhood: Miami Beach

  • Address: 237 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139

  • $$

  • What's unique? One of the best combinations of crafted cocktail and top-notch bar food/appetizers you'll ever find.

  • What's great? The low-lit ambiance and prime location in Miami Beach.

  • What's not great? If you're there late at night the music is loud, tough for a first date unless this is your afterparty!

  • Tip: Typically known as one of the best bars in Miami, Sweet Liberty won't disappoint.

Lost Weekend

  • Neighborhood: Miami Beach

  • Address: 218 Espanola Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139

  • $

  • What's unique? Legitimate bar games, pretty good pizza, and cheap pitchers of beer.

  • What's great? The fun atmosphere with a good crowd. Great for a date who wants to have fun.

  • What's not great? It can feel a bit dirty if you're not okay with that sort of thing.

  • Tip: As a native New Yorker, I'm always looking for venues to escape from the typical Miami vibe and Lost Weekend is one of the best for that. Be sure to get your pizza order in as soon as you start feeling hungry. It can take a while if they're busy.

The Local House

  • Neighborhood: SoFi

  • Address: 400 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139

  • What's unique? It's the only venue I've found on Ocean Drive with REAL staff members who appear to like their job, not salesmen and saleswomen trying to lure you in. Fact!

  • What's great? Their drink menu and the breakfast food. Take your date there for brunch!

  • What's not great? Not much!

  • Tip: The Huevos Rancheros are out of control.

  • What's great? Their above average cocktail menu and views.

  • Tip: Avoid peak-time at the restaurant.
