Things to Do in Miami on a Rainy Day

Updated: Nov 8, 2020

Miami has, on average, 249 days of sunshine each year. Miami also has, on average, 128 days in which the city receives rainfall. A majority of the rainfall is less than 1 hour in duration, so it likely won't ruin any plans you have. However, there are several days each year where it will rain all day. A full day of rain can ruin an agenda.

The city of Miami prides itself on outdoor activities. Tourists, and even Miami residents, still don't know what to do when it rains. Luckily, there is an abundance of activities to partake in.

PS, if you're visiting Miami, see the best hotels in Miami.

Here is a list of things you can do in Miami on a rainy day:

The gorgeous interior of this mansion will take up at least 2 hours of your time. If there is a break in the clouds, go outside and see the lush gardens.

Daily tours will take about 45 minutes to cover the museum. The building itself is impressive enough!

Buy an explorer ticket and have fun. It's not just for kids.

Got kids? No problem. They'll be occupied for hours here.

See the city at your own pace with the hop-on hop-off bus tour.

Use teamwork to escape. (It may be difficult to book last minute.)

A year-round attraction in Wynwood. Can you survive?

Skydive indoors at iFly

Self-explanatory.

Watch a movie in ultimate luxury with a comprehensive food & drink menu.

Hit some balls rain or shine at Topgolf with two locations in Doral and Miami Gardens.
